Here we are, early February already. The winter so far has been uneventful. We had our annual trip to a major buying show in the State, but this year we didn't have any "Oh Wow" moments. Yes, there was lots of cool stuff, but nothing this year that got us quivering in our boots. We did manage to buy lots of stuff, and a chunk of it is sitting at the border and I'll be picking it up very soon. In fact, if you're reading this, it's probably on the wall. A huge surprise to me most of all, I took the plunge on a new boat. I ordered a new Phoenix 921PHX a couple of weeks ago, and should have it late March or early April. A huge thanks go out to Moe and Brett at Pirates Cove for putting together a package for me. What really put me over the top is the 10 year warranty on the new Evinrude G2's. Thanks also to Mark and Dan at Orleans Boat World for taking care of me and the Ranger for the last 5 years. The truth is they always took care of me. Really, buying the Phoenix was not meant as any disrespect towards OBW or any of their staff, it's just that this is my 5th boat in 25 years, and my 5th brand. I may try them all before I'm done. Lol. At any rate, I'm super pumped about the new boat and will have pictures on Facebook when it comes in. Next up for Paddletales, we have our Spring Wing Ding Sale Thing. It runs concurrent with the boat show in Ottawa, February 23 to 26 2017. We are working very hard putting together some specials that will turn your head, and most of the new stuff should be in by then. Details will be posted on the Paddletales Facebook page as well as many of the local websites. We hope to see you out. Ed & Sandie
