Here we are at nearly the end of January. The ice fishing has been spotty for the guys (and gals) but the recent cold snap has the crew out on the ice in force. You can count me out though cause even if the ice is 4' thick, I'm still not a happy camper out there. I'm waiting for the open water season. We do have ice fishing tackle although I'm not a lot of help. Mention ice fishing and the "deer in the headlights" expression takes on some real meaning.

We have done our annual trip the the show in the States and orders have been coming in fast. Some really cool plastics from Optimum,Pure Fishing, Gambler, Set The Hook, and a host of others. Also, we have gotten in a really good selection of plastics, cranks and topwaters from Jackall.

At that show, after a very long talk with the rep, we decided to get back into Lowrance and took the plunge with a VERY large order. We feel that this will round out our selection of electronics, giving customers a choice of brands.

Last week, we attended the new product introduction at Orleans Boat World. The new 520C Carbon looks sweet. Not trading in my 521 though. The cold kept a lot of guys home but the ones that came out were treated to a great night.

Renegade is filling up fast, with only 15 spots left up for grabs. I am super pumped for next season and have high hopes for the outcome. I'm pretty sure the other 69 teams that have signed up are feeling the same though.

Our next event is coming up fast too. February 22, 23 & 24 we are having our annual Spring Wing Ding Spring Sale Thing. We are already gearing up for this and are working on a ton of specials. More will be posted as the date gets nearer.

That's all for now. The trips are done for this year and from now until the opener it's just work work work. I know, you don't feel sorry for me.
